Nigeria: Igan Okoto community to celebrate Xmas with new 500kva transformer courtesy of Hon Adebutu

London, Dec. 21, 2019 (AltAfrica)-Sons and daughters of IGAN OKOTO town, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, South West Nigeria have expressed gratitude to Honourable OLADIPUPO ADEBUTU over the gift of a brand new 500kva transformer already delivered to the community

The new transformer being delivered to Igan Okoto community

The special Christmas gift of a new 500kva transformer was in fulfilment of Hon Adebutu’s promise made to the community at this year ADOKUN FESTIVAL in August. Adebutu is a chieftain of the opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and a former governorship hopeful in Ogun state

The donour, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, former Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Rural Development

On hand to receive the transformer were HRM OBA MUKAILA AKANBI SALAKO the ADOKUN of IGAN OKOTO, council of chief members, CDA members, religious leaders, representatives of the youths, market women, representatives of non indigenes.

In his remark, Kabiyesi Adokun expressed the gratitude of his subjects and prayed for Ladi Adebutu and wish him well in all of his endeavours. He said he could not believe it when one of his chiefs the Onlado of Igan Okoto, Chief Boye Adesina called him that the transformer was a done deal

Some of the residents who spoke to Alternativeafrica.com said they could not have wished for a better Christmas gift adding that the transformer would not only solve the problem of erratic power supply but return economic activities to the community
