I Will Not Make The Mistake Of Third Term-Buhari
London, Nov. 22, 2019 (AltAfrica)-Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari Friday laid to rest speculations that he would be seeking for tenure elongation at the end of his second term in office in 2023, assuring Nigerians that does not have a third term agenda.
The president disclosed this at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Apart from age, the president said he was limited by the two terms stated in the constitution.
“I’m not going to make the mistake of attempting a third term. Besides the age, the constitution makes provision for only two terms,” he said.
