“Why are you boxing for Britain and not Nigeria” Kid demands answer from Anthony Joshua in Lagos
London, July 14, 2019 (AltAfrica)-British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua, got more than he bargained for on Saturday in Nigeria during a visit Makoko in Lagos where he was confronted by a Nigerian kid
In a Video posted on You Tube, a Nigerian teenage girl asked the heavyweight boxer who felt completely at home to explain why he choose to “box for Britain and not Nigeria” his birth place.

Spotting a casual dress, a white short sleeve t-shirt without his trade mark cap Joshua busted into laughter at the shocking question but took time to lecture the little girl about his Journey to stardom
AJ, as he is popularly called was in Lagos Nigeria to attend the Slum2School initiative located in Makoko, where he spent time with the children.
From videos, he even shared some boxing tips with the children.

Joshua won the unified world heavyweight champion, having held the World Boxing Association, International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization titles between 2016 and 2019.
He, however, lost all titles to Mexican, Andy Ruiz in June in a victory that shocked the boxing world,
Joshua activated the rematch clause just days after his loss and an announcement is expected soon about a date and venue. The second fight will either be in New York at Madison Square Garden again or Joshua will insist the rematch take place in the UK.
Until then the heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua is in Lagos, Nigeria completely at home
