London, June 6, 2019 (AltAfrica)- A team of experts from Canada and the United Kingdom have arrived Ghana to assist in the investigations of two Canadian women kidnapped in Ashanti region on Tuesday
As the police in Ghana intensify search for the two Canadian women, one Uber driver, is in police custody over the reported kidnapping
Although the identity of the driver remains undisclosed, a Ghanaian news website, Joy News’ reported Thursday that the suspect is believed to be the driver who transported the Canadians from their hotel.
Reports indicate that the two Canadians are Bailen Chitty, 19years and Lauren Patricia Catherine, 20 years.
The police have confirmed the kidnapping.
In a statement Thursday they called on the media to be circumspect in their reportage.
The Police also called on the general public to volunteer useful information to assist investigators in their work.
