Nigeria: Make Justice Hallmark of Your Administration, Cleric Tells Oyo State Governor-elect

London, May 24, 2019 (AltAfrica)-The Chief Imam of University of Ibadan Central Mosque, Professor Abdul Raman Oloyede has charged the Oyo State governor elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde to make justice hallmark of his administration with a view to entrenching good governance.
The Don gave the advice while delivering a lecture on “Good Governance in Multi -Religious Society,” at the 6th Annual Omituntun Ramadan lecture organized by the governor-elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
Professor Oloyede quoting relevant Quranic injunctions stressed the need for Engineer Makinde to shun injustice and run an all-inclusive government, just as he urged the incoming governor to listen to advice and monitor feedback to know whether people are feeling the impact of his government.
In a remark, former governor of the state and the Osi Olubadan of Ibadan, Senator Rashidi Ladoja called for support for the incoming administration in the task of transforming the state.
Senator Ladoja who reiterated that the task before next government in the state was enormous believed that Engineer Makinde would fulfil his campaign promises.
Engineer Makinde applauded the people of Oyo State for defying all odds to vote for the party that promised not to let the people down.
Some of the dignitaries at the lecture included Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Delta and Edo, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola, Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Soliu Adetunji, Dr Saka Balogun, Elder Wole Oyelese and Oloye Sharafadeen Alli.
