But what about legal migration? Africans, Nigerians who’s taken advantage of globalization to further enrich and better their lives. Simeon Oluwole Olusegun, A Nigerian born Electrical Engineer is one of them.
Simeon is a rising star with over 15 years experience in his field ready to re-invest that knowledge back home. Simeon has overcome many challenges to achieve all he is today.
“I started my engineering career from Nigeria, over 15 years ago from Yaba College of Technology where i obtained Higher National Diploma, HND in Electrical Engineering. I was privileged to work with 2 multi-international companies, Dunlop Tyre and Diagoe group as Electrical Engineer between year 2001 and 2005 before I relocated to united kingdom to further my education. Dunlop Tyre and Diagoe group introduced me to the world of electrical engineering
” Like any other “JJC” as we used to say then, London, my first point of contact in UK was a very challenging environment. Adjusting to the culture and environment proved very difficult, but to the glory of God the rest is history today.
Toiling day and night became the order of the day but I overcame that challenge too with a degree in Petroleum Engineering with South Bank University in London”
Haven worked with different international companies in the UK for the past 13 years such as Dairy Crest, Green core, Hanson Cement, Saica Group, United Biscuits, West Midlands Train as Maintenance Engineer, Simeon Oluwole says he’s now ready “to invest and share my knowledge back home in Nigeria, that’s why i set up my own engineering servicing company Simeon Oluwole Investment Company Ltd with a mission to provide high quality, affordable products and services with guaranteed satisfaction”
At Simeon Oluwole Investment Company Ltd, “we provide electrical and mechanical installations in all aspect of life. Automation of all industrial equipment and machinery as well as installation of safety/security equipment including supply, maintenance, repairing and wiring”.
The young company with array of clients in UK also undertake installation of close circuit TV, VSAT, Microwave and parabolic Planar Antenna.
Other ares of competence include, oil and gas, Solar Panel and inverter, test and maintenance of substation and electrical equipment, installation maintenance and procurement of industrial generators of different ratings
The immediate priority, according to Simeon is partnering with a competent Nigerian company “to enable our growing company impact our extensive knowledge on young and ambitious Nigerians to be able to serve the local market”
