Nigeria bans international flight operations at old Abuja terminal
London, April 30, 2019 (AltAfrica)-The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN has banned all international flights from operating at the old terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport Abuja
FAAN said the ban becomes imperative to ensure that the facilities at the new terminal would be put to maximum use and to ensure immediate repairs of such facilities that require attention
While appreciating passengers,the general public and stakeholders for the inconveniences they suffered and for their patience during the construction of the new terminal, the General manager public Affairs FAAN, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu said the management was pleased to announce that the newly inaugurated terminal was now in full operation.
She said since the new terminal was opened over 6 international airlines now operate from there.
According to her, the facilities are of international standards to ensure seamless facilitation, comfort, safety and security of passengers.
“Management wishes to inform passengers, airport users and the general public that this historic movement marks the end of international flight operations at the old terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja”.
“We sincerely thank you all, for your understanding, support and cooperation to enable us accomplish this feat”.
