Morocco honours visiting Meghan Markle with good luck tattoo
London, Feb. 25, 2019 (AltAfrica)-Morocco left a deep impression on the visiting British Royal couple, prince Harry and wife, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex
The mum-to-be Duchess was was honoured with a henna tattoo, a traditional good luck gesture for her first child, during a three-day visit to the north African country, Morocco.
Meghan had a floral pattern painted on her left hand while on tour of an education project for girls in the Atlas mountain
When it was finished, Meghan, the 37 year old former actress said “that’s really lovely” and proudly showed it to her husband, Prince Harry
A 17 year old Samira Quaadi, created the tattoo design which is expected to last about two weeks or less. Samira told the Duchess, “we do it for major celebrations like getting married or having a baby.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met girls at the house run by Education for All (EFA), an NGO (non for profit organisation) that builds dormitories near schools to reduce school drop-out rates among girls aged 12 to 18.
Meghan Markle and prince Harry are on a three-day trip of Morocco, intended to boost diplomatic relations between the north African country and the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are visiting a variety of projects promoting girls’ education and mental health awareness.
On Sunday, they visited a school in the Atlas mountains, set up to provide rural girls who would otherwise have no access to education. (Metro UK)
