Nigerian broadcaster Nkechi Idiaye launches The Boys Hub, a special awareness programme on issues relating to boys
London, Feb. 18, 2019 (AltAfrica)-A Nigeria broadcaster Nkechi Idiaye has launched a special programme “THE BOYS HUB” dedicated specifically to the development of young Nigerian boys
According to Nkechi, THE BOYS HUB Is an initiative aimed at driving boys advocacy, discuss issues relating them, see boys in a new way, mentor them socially, emotionally, mentally to become men who are happy healthy individuals who become positive contributors to community and family.
“BOYS LIVES MATTER Is our awareness and campaign slogan to strategically aimed to sensitise the public on the need to focus on the boychild for positive development”, Nkechi told Alternativeafrica.com

As part of strategy to promote the discourse, THE BOYS HUB to embark on awareness walk to draw the attention of Nigerian the public such issues as sexual molestation of boys which has an attendant effect on their mental, emotional health and social behaviour
The walk is to among other things- Create awareness on the sexual molestation of the boy child.
2-Provide platforms for men to speak-up about their sexual molestation and seek counselling.
3- Sensitise the public on the need to focus and protect the boychild from sexual molestation.
4- Raise awareness about the need to look into boys emotional,mental health, behaviour development and social growth.
5- Engage boys in heart to heart conversations and help them navigate their way out of negative masculinity.
The walk is scheduled for 30th March 2019. Take off point is the Golden gate hotel Ikoyi terminating at Radio Nigeria house Ikoyi obalende Lagos
