Adeola (Yayi) calls for violence free, issues based campaign as Nigeria goes full political
Lagos, November 19, 2018 (AltAfrica)-As Nigeria Presidential and National Assembly election campaign begin on Monday, Senator Solomon Adeola, (APC, Lagos West), who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content and the flag bearer of APC for Lagos West Senatorial District, has called on all political parties’ candidates to conduct violence free and issue based campaign.
In a release signed by his media Special Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro, Senator Adeola stated that the issues around the campaigns were clear-going back to those who created 16 years of stagnation or continuing the cleaning of the mess of past administrations in the last 3 years with enduring positive developments to propel our nation to the next level of human development.
Senator Adeola stated that in all his legislative position held in the past and presently, he has continuously strive to deliver on the core mandate of the legislature leading to his repeated and progressive election right up to the highest legislative body in Nigeria adding that it is too late to change the the records he has established and is noted for.
“As I reported back to my party members leading to my overwhelming winning of the party direct primary, I will in course of the campaign report back on the mandate given to me in 2015 by the electorate as well as chart the way forward for my Senatorial district in the incoming 9th Senate”, he said.
Senator Adeola who is noted for his usually colorful and issue based campaign promised to transverse all the LGAs and LCDAs in the largest Senatorial District in Nigeria, adding that he is sure his party at the state and federal levels have enough to showcase for Nigeria going forward to the next level.
