Nigeria: Sales man arrested for inviting robbers to burgle his madam shop
Abeokuta, October 11, 2018 (AltAfrica)-Men of Nigeria Police, Ogun State Command have arrested a 31 years old salesman, one Micheal Daniel for conniving with robbers to burgle the shop of his employer.
His arrest, according to the Police spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi was as a result of a complaint lodged by one Mrs Titilayo Ero of Dorf Royal Event Centre, Asero, Abeokuta who reported that she has about fifty two computer monitor in her store only for her to get to the store on 30/09/18 to discover that the store has been burgled and the whole fifty two computer monitors have been carted away.
On the strength of her report, detectives from the State Criminal investigation and Intelligence Department were detailed to unravel the mystery behind the missing items.
The detectives swiftly moved into action and invited the salesman who was barely 3 weeks old in the employment of the centre.
When he was thoroughly interrogated, he confessed been the brain behind the dastardly act.
He explained further that he invited one Smith Ajao, 23yrs old to join him in the night for the operation.
The said Smith Ajao was traced to an hotel in Sango Ota where he was promptly arrested.
He subsequently led detectives to computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos where forty eight pieces of the computer monitors were recovered.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has directed that the case be properly investigated and that the suspects be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
He also advised members of public to always scrutinise whoever they want to employ properly before given them job.
