Nigeria: SSS confirms detention of Aisha Buhari’s ADC over alleged N2.5 million fraud
London, September 25, 2018 (AltAfrica)-The State Security Service (SSS), has confirmed that it is in custody of the Aide De Camp (ADC), to the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari.
The secret police said Sani Baba-Inna, a chief superintendent of police, is undergoing interrogation.
Reports say wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the arrest of her Aide De Camp (ADC), over allegation of N2.5 billion fraud.
Spokesperson of DSS, Peter Afunanya confirmed that Baba-Inna is in their custody. “He was handed over by the Police and investigation is ongoing,” he stated.
Media reports on Monday had it that Aisha Buhari had alleged that Baba-Inna received huge donations from politicians and business people on her behalf and kept the cash to himself.
She had urged the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to arrest and compel Baba-Inna to refund the money, estimated at about N2.5billion.
Following the petition, the Police, last Friday, arrested Mr Baba-Inna and raided his home in the Garki District of Abuja.
However, the outcome of the raid and checks on his bank account showed that money of such magnitude was not in those locations.
Not satisfied, Mrs Buhari asked the SSS to take over the investigation.
