Tanzanian parliament bans female lawmakers from wearing artificial nails, lashes
London, September 10, 2018 (AltAfrica)-Female lawmakers with artificial nails and false eyelashes have been banned from Tanzania’s parliament, local media reported on Monday.
Mr Nduga said he imposed the ban after Deputy Health Minister Faustine Ndugulile had raised concerns about the health risks posed by fake nails and eye lashes. The Citizen Tanzania newspaper reported.
The ban would also apply to visitors to parliament, he said.
