U.S. air strike in southern Somalia kills two al Shabaab militants: statement

Nairobi, August 22, 2018,(AltAfrica) – United States forces conducted an air strike in coordination with Somalia’s army that killed two al Shabaab fighters, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.

“We currently assess no civilians were injured or killed in this air strike”, which occurred approximately 46 kilometres northeast of Kismayo, in southern Somalia, the U.S. Africa Command statement read.
