Nigerian Princess wins Global Award as best student in Biomedical science in UK Uni
London, July 30, 2018 (AltAfrica)-Zuwaira Hashim, the 20-year-old daughter of the Kano Royal House and youngest student in her class of the Biomedical Science Health and Human Sciences at Sheffield University, United Kingdom recently graduated with a Distinction in the July 2018 graduation at Sheffield University.
Zuwaira emerged the best overall student for 2018 in her Department and was awarded the Kerry Ann Salt Memorial Prize at graduation.
She was also awarded the Global Engagement Award for 2018 from the Sheffield City Council for her contributions to the City Council’s development of the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group on cancer for the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA).
Zuwaira wrote her thesis on Diabetes prevention and control in Nigeria. She returns to Nigeria to enrol in NYSC.
