More Nigerian to get national honours over June 12
Abuja, June 12, 2018 (AltAfrika)-President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has approved that national honours be conferred on some other Nigerians for their contributions to democracy.
The Secretary to the Government of the country, Boss Mustapha, disclosed this on Tuesday at the Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Mustapha was speaking at the posthumous investiture of Chief Moshood Abiola as Grand Commander of the Federal Republic; his running mate, Babagana Kingibe as Grand Commander of the Order of Niger and late human rights activist, Gani Fawehinmi, also as GCON.
The SGF did not name those personalities to be awarded, but said further announcements on that would be made shortly.
