Diplomacy in Angola must find solutions to boost development
Luanda Angola – (AltAfrika) President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, addressed diplomats, in Luanda, at the opening of the 8th meeting of ambassadors, which was concluded today Friday 25, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The president emphasized, that it is necessary to equip the diplomatic missions with cadres capable of meeting the expectations and to make, from there, the necessary use.
“The international political situation deserves from all of us a permanent and attentive accompaniment so that we can rise to interpret it and find solutions to the challenges that it puts us at every moment.”
President João Lourenço stressed that in the context of the country’s priorities, it is necessary to highlight the actions to be taken on the continent, where efforts must converge, “not only in order to improve relations with each African country, but also not to provide the possible assistance to contribute to the resolution of conflicts, where they still exist. ”
In this particular area, said João Lourenço, Angola must work towards the design of political and diplomatic solutions to conflicts in the DRC, the Central African Republic, Burundi and South Sudan, based on dialogue and restoration of peace in those countries.
