Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osibajo on efforts to develop small businesses in Nigeria
London, May 17, 2018 (AltAfrika)-Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibajo has outlined a comprehensive programmes of action by Nigeria government to assist small business enterprises to take full advantage of government friendly policies
Professor Osibajo who was speaking at the 14th edition of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME, clinic in Ondo state, south west Nigeria, told the gathering of the resolve of the government to come to the aid small business owners to enable them contribute much better to the development of Nigeria’s economy
Vice President told the gathering that the “MSME clinics were conceived and designed to bring government closer to the people by assembling in one place all the regulatory agencies whose work affect the business experience of small and medium scale businesses” .
This he said would afford the MSMES owners the efficient platform to which they could bring their business related problems for the intervention of the regulatory agents for solution outside the formal and sometimes intimidating offices of these agencies
“Indeed, in the last three years, we have demonstrated an abiding commitment to facilitating genuine efforts by all state governments of the federation to attract investment to diversify their economic base and to create jobs and economic opportunities for their people”
