Mohamed Salah leads PFA Player of the Year nominations

London, April 14, 2018 (AltAfrika)-Africa’s reining footballer of the year, Mohammed Salah is leading five others on the six-man shortlist for the English PFA Players’ Player of the Year award
Mohamed Salah was also named Premier League Player of the Month for March after continuing his excellent form for the Reds.
De Bruyne is one of three players nominated from Premier League leaders City, alongside David Silva and Leroy Sane
Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea complete the shortlist
The Egyptian has scored 39 times in all competitions, including in each leg as Liverpool dumped City out of the Champions League quarterfinals 5-1 on aggregate.
Salah has taken the Premier League by storm in his first season at Liverpool.
He leads the way in the race for the Premier League golden boot with 29 goals and has added nine assists
The Egypt international is four ahead of Spurs star Kane in the scoring charts. The England striker has 25 goals with two assists.
Mohamed Salah was named Premier League Player of the Month for March after continuing his excellent form for the Reds.
Salah, who also scooped the PFA Player of the Month award for March, was the top scorer in the league last month with six goals and took the award ahead of fellow nominees Son Heung-min, Romelu Lukaku, David Silva, Cenk Tosun and Chris Wood.
The 25-year-old netted his first goal of the month in a 2-0 win over Newcastle on March 3, before adding four to his personal tally in a 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield on March 17.
Salah has now picked up three Player of the Month awards this season following his successes in November and February
.The former Roma and Chelsea forward becomes only the sixth player in Premier League history to have been awarded the honour in consecutive months – following in the footsteps of Robbie Fowler, Dennis Bergkamp, Cristiano Ronaldo and more recently Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy.
