Video of the London protest against president Buhari
London, April 11, 2018 (AltAfrika)-Alternativeafrika has obtained the video of the protest by a group of Nigerians resident in the UK against President Muhammadu Buhari.
The protest took place at the Abuja House official residence of the Nigerian president in London.
The protest came 24 hours after Mr. Buhari declared his intention to contest for another term in office as president of Nigeria in 2019.
Many of the protesters were clad in Tiv traditional attire singing and calling on President Buhari to resign if incapacitated and unwilling to fulfil his oath of office and mandate to protect lives and property in Nigeria.
Some of the banner displayed at the protest read “stop blood thirsty Fulani herdsmen now. Nigeria Government stop your silence now. We don’t want another Rwanda, protect lives not cows, Buhari must go”
President of MUTUK, Mr Kuran Gwakyaa told Alternativeafrika that the protest was imperative to alert the international community to the genocide being perpetrated by the Fulanis in Nigeria.
The presidency, however, said the protest was sponsored by supporters of alleged looters and corrupt elements within and outside the country.
