Med-View passengers stranded in London again
London, April 1, 2018 (AltAfrika)-Scores of Med-View airline passengers in London heading to Lagos Nigeria for Easter holiday are in anguish and distress after their flight for today was cancelled without any reason.
Unfortunately, the cancellation information was only made available to the few while majority are unable to make the journey missing very important engagements.
The very few who were fortunate to receive the message could not get across to the airline after all phone lines were in active
Some like Ngozi who spoke to Alternativeafrika today at heathrow terminal 4, had to fight to be transferred to other airlines with space for Lagos bound flight.
Ngozi and few others were transferred to Maroc airline and will have to endure many several hours to Casablanca before getting to Lagos
Apart from the stress of longer hours of journey, Ngozi and the few lucky others have to contain with the problem of excess luggage with Maroc which only allows for 23kg unlike Medview with 30kg.
Some were forced to marge their luggage to share the burden of about £130 payment for extra luggage. Those who could not afford had to bin some of their belongings to ensure 23kg luggage compliance.
“My brother, this is my most difficult experience in many years of staying in London. I am going home for my marriage with my thirteen years old girl, this is what med-view has subjected us to.” Ngozi
A similar situation occurred around 2017 Christmas period when hundreds Med-view passengers trying to get home to Nigeria for Christmas were stranded at Gatwick Airport for up to five days.
Many told how they felt “abandoned” by the airline over the festive period and that some had missed Christmas with their families
