Nigerian Army Arrests Alleged Killer of Army Corporal
London, March 12, 2018 (AltAfrika)-Nigerian Army Headquarters Special Forces on Sunday in Kogi State, arrested a suspected prime suspect among the killer gang that killed an army corpral last month.
According to a security report, the suspect, identified as Muhammed Bashir was arrested during an intensive patrol across the state following a report on criminal hideouts, on Sunday 11 March 2018 by troops of Headquarters Commands Army Record supported by Army Headquarters Special Forces at Irovochinomi and Egee communities within Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The report confirmed that, Mohammed Bashir is member of the gang that allegedly killed Corporal Mamman of Army Headquarters Special Forces on 27 February 2018.
The following items were recovered from the suspect, 2 AK 47 rifles with registration number 58008731 and 45 rounds of 7.62mm special.
A follow up on the operation led to recovery of additional 2 AK 47 rifles.
