Nigerians to protest in London over incessant herdsmen killing
London, Jan 21, 2018 (AltAfrika)-Nigerians resident in United Kingdom will on Monday, Jan 22, 2018 take to the streets of London to protest what they regard as incessant killings by herdsmen in Nigeria.
Though no group has claimed responsibility for the organising the protest, Nigerians living in UK are been mobilised through the social media platform to come out en mass to protest against the killings and the inability of the Nigerian government to arrest the killers
One of the watt-sup messages sent to Alternativeafrika read “we must not fold our hands and allow the evil Fulani-herdsmen to destroy the peace , progress and unity of our country-Nigeria. the owners of these cows and those arming theme will be named and shamed” The Nigerian Governing Executive body has democratically failed the country . The Nigerian legislatures have equally failed.”
The protesters are expected to take off from the Nigerian High Commission via Trafalgar Square to the No 10 where a petition is to be delivered to prime Minister Theresa May and end up at the parliament in Westminster
