18 Malawian soldiers killed in a road accident

London, Nov. 3, 2017 (AltAfrika)– In Malawi, at least 18 soldiers were killed on Thursday in a ghastly accident. There were reports that the truck they were travelling in skipped off the before it somersaulted. The police confirmed to AFP.
The military truck was carrying more than 60 passengers returning from training in the northern district of Mzimba to a military college in central Malawi.
The police spokesperson, Peter Botha confirmed that 18 soldiers had died, including the driver of the vehicle and three trainers.
A dozen people were admitted to the local hospital and there are fears the death toll could rise.
